Sagastad Viking Center is a celebration of culture, craft and seamanship. It was here in Nordfjordeid, Norway, that one of the largest Viking ships ever discovered – the Myklebust – was found through archaeological diggings. Based around a 30-meter full-scale replica of the ship, Expology designed and created the interactive Viking visitor center.

Here visitors learn about the mystics, the rituals and the long voyages the Vikings took. The ship is the center piece of the exhibition, surrounded by interactive educational elements which contextualize and connect the life-size reconstruction with its history.

Expology's mission for the project was to create an experience center that would place Nordfjordeid on the national map as an important historical and tourist destination. The project was strongly supported by academic research in cooperation with the University of Bergen. Expology had the role of project management, exhibition design, copywriting, and multimedia content.
