Diverse toolbox

When Expology develops exhibitions, we draw on a large and diverse toolbox.

We combine modern technology, interactive media, and digital storytelling with physical installations, materiality, and craftsmanship. Our goal is always to create experiences that engage multiple senses — experiences that can fascinate, move, and inspire audiences. Technology is an important part of this work, but equally important is our collaboration with skilled artists who bring tactile qualities, artistic depth, and aesthetic strength to the spaces. When art, design, and technology meet, something truly special often emerges.

A great example is our collaboration with artist Kristin Skårdal in the development of the new visitor experience at the Kon-Tiki Museet. Here she has created a beautiful and highly detailed coral reef as a physical art installation within the exhibition. Through form, texture, and craftsmanship, the installation brings the fragile and fascinating universe of the ocean closer to the audience.

The result is an experience where technology, storytelling, and art merge — offering visitors at the Kon-Tiki Museum a new and sensory gateway into the world of the Pacific Ocean.
